Chronic Tension and Pain

Chronic tension and pain is one of the most common — and most misunderstood — conditions we see at FLEX. Whether it's persistent tightness in your neck and shoulders, a back that never fully lets go, or full-body tension that builds over time, chronic pain is rarely just a muscle problem. Stress, posture, movement patterns, and past injuries all play a role. You don't have to just live with it.

HOW WE TREAT IT:

At FLEX, we look beyond the site of pain to find what's actually driving it. What makes FST particularly effective for chronic tension is the way it works through full fascial lines rather than isolated muscle groups. When we're working with you, we're not just treating one body part at a time — we're feeling through connected lines of tissue, finding the restrictions and "sticky" spots that are often the real source of your pain. That whole-body awareness gives us a clearer picture of what's actually going on and means nothing gets missed.

From there we layer in advanced manual techniques to address what we find — whether that's deep tissue work, RAPID Neuromuscular Therapy, or Graston to break down stubborn restrictions. We also look at your movement patterns and build a plan that keeps the tension from coming back. For more complex presentations, our growing multidisciplinary team means we can collaborate to make sure you're getting exactly what you need.

Chronic tension is your body asking for help. We know how to listen.
