TMJ DYSFUNCTION
TMJ dysfunction affects the temporomandibular joint — the hinge that connects your jaw to your skull — and can cause jaw pain, clicking or popping, headaches, ear pain, and tension that radiates through your face, neck, and shoulders. It's often linked to stress, teeth grinding, poor posture, or misalignment, and it's more connected to the rest of your body than most people realize.
HOW WE TREAT IT:
TMJ is one of those conditions where patience and precision matter more than pressure. We always start conservatively — working into the surrounding muscles and fascial tissue gradually, building trust with the area before going deeper. Rushing this one never ends well, and we know it.
What makes our approach effective is that we don't treat the jaw in isolation. TMJ dysfunction almost always has a neck and shoulder component, so we work through those connected areas as well — tracing the fascial lines that link the jaw to the rest of the body and releasing restrictions along the way. Clients are often surprised how much of their jaw tension is actually coming from somewhere else entirely.
With consistent treatment, most clients see significant improvement in pain, clicking, and range of motion — and a noticeable reduction in the headaches and neck tension that so often come with it.
Your jaw has been working overtime. Let's give it some relief.
